Tonight, it’s burrito pizza!!
I began with a premade shell. Sometimes we will make our own dough but we needed something faster. I knew I didn’t want a traditional pizza so I scoured the kitchen cupboards for something to throw together quickly!!
I began with refried beans as my “sauce” base of the pizza.
I didn’t have any taco seasoning so I used the sour cream seasoning that Old El Paso makes and sprinkled that on the beans.
I wasn’t sure how much to use. It ended up being about 1/2 a packet. I probably could have used more but it wasn’t too over powering.
Taco cheese !!! Cheese is a favorite in our house!!! We may have used a whole bag on this pizza.
Next, choose any variety of toppings you want to be baked on the pizza. Black olives, chopped white onion, and diced tomatoes made the cut for this pizza.
Baked at 400 degrees for about 20 minutes – (lower temp and longer time than package suggested to cook the onions longer).
Some sour cream after it came out of the oven for half the family!
